This year’s AGM and President’s Day will be held at Weetwood Hall, Otley Road in Leeds on Saturday 3rd December. It will be followed by the President’s Reception and the Society’s annual buffet dinner attendance at which is by invitation or ticket only.

13.00 – 13.45 Coffee/tea and mince pies in Headingley Breakout
14.00 – 15.00 AGM (to include EGM regarding proposals for rule changes to membership status) in the Cookridge Suite
15.00 – 15.30 Coffee/tea and mince pies in Headingley Breakout
15.30 – 16.15 Awards (including the Sorby and Moore medals)
16.15 – 17.30 THE CARBONIFEROUS; A VERY SPECIAL TIME ON EARTH President’s Address by Dr. Nick Riley MBE
18.00 – 20.30* President’s Reception in the Jacobean Lobby followed by the Annual Buffet Dinner in the Jacobean Room
*NB attendance at the reception by invitation or ticket only. Car parking is complimentary for all hotel residents and visitors. Please enter your vehicle registration number by using the tablets around the building. Tickets for the dinner will cost £26pp. (the same as last year) and there will be a bottle of wine for each table provided with the compliments of YGS Council.

Savoury Rice Salad
Desserts

Members wishing to stay overnight at Weetwood Hall are advised to contact the hotel directly on 0113 230 6000 to make a reservation. The hotel has agreed to hold a few rooms for the YGS until 18th November at a reduced rate of £105 per room per night including breakfast. Please mention the YGS when booking
